| Project Summary: | This event will bring Extension faculty, Conservation District technicians, NRCS planners and livestock producers together to expand their knowledge on the production of beef while protecting the environment. The purpose is to produce a wholesome safe product the consumer can trust. We will also discuss protection of the producer’s natural resources and sustainability. A group of local livestock producers have already met and worked on marketing strategies and this workshop will help them to produce the product to market. Topics may include animal health, nutrition, pasture management and protecting soil and water quality. Introduction into Quality Assurance and organic certification will be explored. | |
