Climate Analogs Academy

The Climate Analogs Academy aims to empower US Extension professionals to lead regional climate change adaptation in specialty crops. Our strategy to overcome some common pitfalls of climate change education is to focus on building dialogue around technical information and building strategic relationships. We will use the Climate Analogs Tool to pair you with an Academy participant working with some of the same crops but in a county with your future climate conditions.

This program will recruit a 2024 cohort and a 2025 cohort. For more information and to apply, visit the Climate Analogs Academy homepage.

Western SARE Professional Development Program

The USDA Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) Professional Development Program (PDP) first received funding from the U.S. Congress in 1994. The SARE PDP is designed to help Extension, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and other agricultural professionals increase their ability to respond to the needs of farmers, ranchers, and the public regarding sustainable agriculture concepts and systems.
