Speaker Bio - Kristy Borrelli
Kristy Borrelli is a Ph.D. candidate in Soil Science at WSU. Her research focuses on diversifying
agricultural cropping systems to manage soil fertility and plant nutrients and to maintain soil quality. The goal of this work is to understand and utilize intricate ecological interactions that have the potential to improve farm management practices, reduce off-farm inputs and protect natural resources. The underlying focus of Kristy’s research is to have a positive impact on local food production and to improve the sustainability of community food systems.
