Field Day Announcement: Re-integrating Perennial Pasture and Livestock into Palouse Cropping Systems

FieldDayjpgField Day Announcement!  October 28th from 10am to noon at the Zakarison Partnership in Pullman.

Come learn about current research on the use of livestock grazing, perennial pasture and green manures in Palouse crop rotations. Current field research examines the economic, agronomic, and environmental performance of three cropping systems:
• Conventionally managed winter wheat – spring wheat – field pea rotation
• Integrated winter wheat – spring wheat – grazed winter pea rotation
• Organically managed perennial alfalfa – spring pea – winter wheat rotation
