See tomorrow’s climate today.
The Climate Analogs Tool helps producers, Extension professionals, and researchers explore how today’s climates in one county resemble the projected mid-century climates of specialty-crop regions across the U.S. Developed at Washington State University, the tool supports peer-to-peer dialogue between “target” and “analog” regions to spark practical, actionable adaptation strategies.

This project is a collaboration among scientists, extension specialists, and practitioners from Washington State University, University of Florida, University of Illinois, University of Arkansas, International Food Policy Research Institute, Agriculture & Food Systems Institute, and World Agricultural Economic and Environmental Services. Funded by USDA/NIFA (Award No. 2017-68002-26789), the effort combines climate, crop, economic, and life-cycle modeling with stakeholder engagement to provide actionable insights for specialty crop systems.
