Join CSANR in April and May as we launch our Dig Into Compost Campaign! The best part about compost? Everyone can participate. Whether you have a small-acreage farm, a home garden, or plenty of houseplants, compost is a great way to reduce organic waste and create a nourishing product for your plants.
Compost is a product of biological processes that break down organic matter, often from waste products such as plant residues, manure, and food wastes. WSU researchers lead work to understand how compost contributes to soil health properties, plant nutrition, and sustainability through waste utilization.
Are you ready to:
- Learn more about compost as a solution in garden, agronomic, and municipal scales?
- Create better compost?
- Use compost and fertilizer to improve cover crops?
- Become a compost operator, find compost funding programs, or explore the role of organic matter in soil health?
We will be posting fun compost facts and resources to our socials through May. Follow us on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Bluesky. Please like and share!
