Companion resource guide offering tools, literature, and frameworks for deeper community-engaged research.

Practical Guide to Community Engagement: Resources to Help Researchers Go Deeper curates handbooks, toolkits, and peer-reviewed literature to help researchers strengthen community-engaged research practices. It provides an annotated bibliography on barriers to engagement, equity and community resilience, realtion to Indigenous engagement, and long-term partnership maintenance. The guide highlights practical decision tools, principles for effective participation, and frameworks that support inclusive, transparent, and reciprocal collaboration. While the guide draws from multiple disciplines, it emphasizes environmental, natural resource, and sustainability research contexts. By synthesizing existing scholarship and applied resources, the publication serves as a structured entry point for researchers seeking to move beyond introductory engagement toward deeper research partnerships.
