Biogas Production

Biogas is produced when organic materials such as manure break down in oxygen-free environments like anaerobic digesters. The gas—primarily methane—can be captured and used to generate electricity, heat, or renewable natural gas.

After digestion, manure nutrients remain in the material and may be further processed through nutrient recovery technologies.
