Hossein received his M.S. and Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Washington State University. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher with CSANR. His main interest is exploiting the underlying structure of data, applying mathematical, machine learning and data science techniques to (including but limited to) remote sensing data (images), agricultural data, etc. to inform algorithms and data analysis.
His current research is focused on the impact of climate change on agricultural products such as apple, cherries, and pest management.
